New Therapists Join Floyd Valley Therapies Staff

Floyd Valley Therapies announces the addition of Alexis Harpenau, MA, CCC-SLP, Katelyn Kessenich, PT, DPT and Taylor Schiebout, PT, DPT.  They all began their duties recently with Floyd Valley Therapies.

Lexi brings excellent education and to experience to Floyd Valley Speech Therapy.  She completed her undergraduate degree in communication sciences and disorders and her Master of Art degree in Speech-Language Pathology at University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.  Prior to moving back to northwest Iowa, Lexi was employed in central Iowa working with pediatric patients.  She enjoys treating patients across all ages and specialties.  When not at work, Lexi enjoys painting with watercolor, running, cooking and going on walks.

Katelyn graduated from Iowa State University with an undergraduate degree in kinesiology and health and from Des Moines University with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.  While in school, Katelyn received valuable clinical experience in Scottsdale, AZ, Nashville, TN, Dakota Dunes, SD, Spirit Lake, IA and at Floyd Valley Therapies.  She is excited to return to FVH, where she fell in love with her career.  Starting as a physical therapy tech on breaks and summers when back in Le Mars and completing her full circle moment by returning as a therapist is special for Katelyn.  She is excited to give back to the community that shaped her.  Katelyn’s hobbies include coaching AAU volleyball, walking, lifting, spending time with friends and family and learning how to cook.

Taylor comes to Floyd Valley Therapies with experience working with pediatric populations in Minneapolis and Sioux City.  She received her undergraduate degree in kinesiology from the University of South Dakota and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa.  She has special interests in pediatrics and pelvic health (coming soon).  Taylor has always admired Floyd Valley Healthcare’s dedication to serving the community and is excited to share her knowledge and skills with our amazing communities to help patients and families live their best life. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, watching true crime shows and working out, including lifting, walking and running.

Alison Vlieger, Occupational and Speech Therapy Manager, states, “We are excited and fortunate to have these three talented therapists join our team here at Floyd Valley Healthcare.  They each excel in their field and offer skills that will benefit our patients greatly.  They all have ties to the area and are ready to give back to our communities with excellent patient care and compassion. It’s exciting to see the continued growth in our therapy department as we strive to provide exceptional care for our patients across the lifespan.”
