What
- The IONRP is a 12-month, paid residency that will assist you in the transition from the school setting to the work setting as an independent RN.
- In partnership with the University of Iowa College of Nursing, we provide the support necessary to empower you as a new nurse and reach your full potential as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- The evidence based program includes self-paced online learning, monthly live discussions with fellow RNs, coworker/mentor support and a professional experience.
- Curriculum topics include communication, decision making, the transition from student to professional nurse, professional responsibilities, nurse well-being, etc.

When
- The year-long program requires approximately 4-5 hours per month which is part of your work schedule and paid time.
- Multiple sessions are available throughout the year. Ideally, you will begin the program after your new-hire orientation period.

- New graduate RN within their first year of practice, licensed to practice in the state of Iowa
- RN re-entering acute care environment
- RN re-entering employment may be considered
